How to relieve skin irritation from wax hair removal?

My mom bought some at home hair removal to wax her legs and now her skin has discoloration from where the wax had been. She has tried a scrub thinking it was dead skin cells but it seemed to get worse. Her legs are actually darker than her natural skin tone. How can we get her legs back to her natural skin tone?

her skin is probably sensitive, i have the same problem too.

don’t worry, her skin will go back to the normal colour in a few weeks. in the mean time, use some mild skin cream or moisturizing lotion, like Johnson-and-Johnson baby cream.

i also use Aquaderm skin cream from my doctor, i’m not sure if you get it everywhere, but ask your GP. its a very basic mild skin cream that completely cures skin irritation after waxing.
or ask your GP for any mild skin cream for this.

next time, i recommend to not use any products after waxing on the waxed skin AT ALL, as this will cause irritation.

to remove wax residues, don’t use the wipes they provide [as they contain parfum which irritates],
instead use any vegetable oil, leave it for 10-20 minutes, then gently wash off with cool water.

Make a fine paste by mixing one cup of honey and cinnamon powder and apply it on the affected area. Boil bath water with some neem leaves in it . Do it for somedays until your skin is returned to the normal condition. As its seem that your skin is sensitive use natural methods to remove hair you can find more on this in http://www.beauticianworld.com and after seeing the results let others also know about the site.
