I have facial hair that I am not comfortable with and wish to wax it… I am mormon/christian and was wondering what mormons think of waxing/hair removal?

Wax it. Just wax it.
What the heck, just get rid of it Brutus.
Ask your pastor.
I wax.
I don’t know what difference it makes. Really, there is no reason why you should not do it if that’s what you want to do.
Well, I am a married HP, and I say, do as you want. How is this affecting your eternal salvation? You are looking at the larger picture of looks, I understand your sensitivity here, but in the long run are you not suppose to keep yourself “up”? Do it…..
It will just come back if you wax it. Electrolysis (hair removal) will work.
There’s nothing wrong with hair removal, hon. It has the same effect as wearing make-up.
Neither the Mormon nor Christian communities have any issues with waxing/hair removal. It isn’t something prohibited by either religion, and so their adherents are allowed to do this if they so choose.
mormons are not christian, you are either one or the other.what has god have to do with this?
sorry but couldn’t care less what you do to make yourself beautiful because i am old and going blind so would never notice all the work you went through to look better to you .
scripture says not to cut marks or tattoo your body or to have your hair cut like a man would – 1 corinthians 11:14-15 / leviticus 19:28 , 21:5
It’s just fine to do that.
Personal decision.
Me personally, I think it is not such a bad idea. Just my two cents…
Switching gears a bit…
For anyone that is confused about Mormons being Christians, Mormons are Christians. If you don’t believe that is so, then pray to God about it.
If you don’t pray about it, then that is your problem not God’s problem, nor is it God’s Church’s problem.
Simple as that.
Jesus Christ was doubted by others, and those others crucified Him. So history repeats itself, except this time they are on the internet, making absurd assertions, they are using the same methods of thinking, that the people that crucified Jesus used.
Denying revelation is the same thing as denying Jesus, and crucifying Him anew. Read the record in the New Testament if you don’t believe that.
Plain as black ink on white paper.
I shave every Saturday night before Church..There’s nothing wrong with it.
@JOHN Yes, we Mormons are Christians. Get over it.
@Witness When you think about it piercings are sort of cutting the skin. In fact it seems to somewhat mock the atonement since Jesus was “pierced”.
as an “active” mormon i never actually thought about it
i actually thought about removal of sex organs so i would not sin.
but a freind said dont do it.
hair removal is not listed as a sin in any commandment that i know of.
i dont think it would ever be listed as a sin, officially.
p.s. that said, there is a specific commandment that says do not shave your head. or make cutttings in the flesh. (which i think equates making tatoos)
You are only allowed to braid it.
Are you serious?
You can’t be.
Why in the world would any religion care if you waxed unwanted hair?
There is nothing wrong with waxing or hair removal. I have thought about getting the laser hair removal done for my arm pits and legs because I really hate shaving them – although I still shave them because of hygiene and for my husband.
Um…sure. You shave your legs dont you? Underarms? Brush your teeth… This is all part of Body Maintenance: 101. No doctrine against it.
