To understand OSH, you need to consider Lowe’s and Home Depot. All three chains have found a niche in which to best operate. There are things you buy at OSH that you can’t find at either Lowe’s or HD. My thinking is this: Home Depot is great for heavy construction of new things, Lowe’s is great to "outfit" your new things, OSH is great to "live-in" your new or old thing. OSH is much like the old fashion hardware stores (of which ACE is the name brand). They carry everything from nightlights to bug spray to lamp repair to car wax. Yes, there are times when you gotta go to OSH.
