Making and using Sugar Wax PART 2

RECIPE: 2 CUPS SUGAR, ¼ CUP LEMON JUICE, ¼ CUP WATER (Sorry I said the wrong recipe in the video) MAKING THE SUGAR WAX: Using a gas stove: 1.Put the ingredients in a saucepan and heat it on high. It will boil for approximately ten minutes. 2. Watch the bubbles carefully and when the bubbles turn a light brown color, turn the heat down till it’s as low as it can be. The wax should be turning a golden brown color. 3. Let it simmer for about another five minutes while watching very very carefully. When the wax turns golden brown like the color in my videos then it is done. (When the wax is on step three and is simmering take a tiny bit out on a spoon and run cold water over it. When it cools enough to touch, it should be stretchy. You can test it on your arm. Do this about every two minutes while the wax is simmering until it stretches out on your arm and pulls off easily. If it sticks and won’t come off it’s not done and if it’s brittle you’ve overcooked it.) MAKING WAX USING AN ELECTRIC STOVE: Follow the same steps but reduce the time alot. Cook the wax on medium for 5 to 8 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 6-10 minutes. Watch the bubbles carefully and when the wax reaches the correct take it off heat immediately. OTHER INFO: Sugar waxing is very inexpensive to use. I use a method of pulling the wax up against the hair and then yanking it down. If you pull the wax off against the direction of hair you are only breaking off the hair strands and hair will

Don’t take it as an offense, but your pain putty is east to make but hard to use. It’s a fun jump rope and weapon, but as a hair removal product, it’s pretty annoying to use.

I tried this to get rid of my stocmach hair and worked! I was a bit confused when I had to apply on my skin; it was all gooey and wouldn’t roll up like a chewed piece of gum. Then I kept trying to put it all back together and it eventually did. It was messy but you have to be patient. =P Nice vid!

  12. SistersOfTwo says:

@tombraider0 well you can reuse the wax but keep it in a tight air container in a cool place

  13. SistersOfTwo says:

@Maskarada007 you probably didnt do anything wrong with the recipe. the thing is it happened to me to. its because the temperature in your house is too hot and it will melt the wax when it is cool it wont melt

my wax is either too sticky and it sticks to my skin and I can’t peel it off or doesn’t even pull any hair and and just comes off. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.can anyone help me?

  15. FilleDeFrancais says:

@nadamonismua, you need to cook it longer. not boil it, but simmer so you could watch the color closely. once it looks light golden brown remove it from heat and test it out on a small patch of skin. if it’s still too sticky, let it cook a little longer until you get the right consistency. if it gets too brown you have to start over.

  16. SanyaCro says:

    @nadamonismua

    must cook longer

  17. nadamonismua says:

@FilleDeFrancais I made the wax. The just keeps slipping off my leg. Wont grab hair, what did I do wrong?

  22. tombraider0 says:

can i keep the wax and re use it? or do i have to keep re-making it each time? x

The stuff is either too sticky and it sticks onto my skin and I can’t peel it off or doesn’t even pull any hair and and just peels off. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

  24. FilleDeFrancais says:

okay i know i keep commenting on this video, but the correct temp is 245 degrees, which is soft ball texture on the candy thermometer. the mixture should have bubbles in it, and the color should remind you of honey. if anyone needs help, feel free to inbox me.

  25. FilleDeFrancais says:

shollia, make sure you use scissors to cut any hair longer than 1/4 of an inch to make it less painful. when the hair is too long, they get stuck together in the wax and then it’s impossible to get it off and you will be in serious pain. just trust me on this one
