if ur 13.. and u didnt have ur period yet, dont wax it.. just put some foundation to cover the hair cuz ur still young and if u did it this early, yes it’ll grow much thicker
but if u have ur period already, bleach it.. dont wax yet, start waxin it when u turn 15.. cuz 13 is still 2 young for facial waxin

@Yukie217 I don’t know weather my opinion is important or not, but I’ll try anyway. I have very dark eyebrows and a lot of facial hair. When I was your age everyone would make fun of my “moustache” and so I started waxing it. It’s not true that it grows thicker. With me, it was actually the opposite. I used to wax it every week (which I don’t advise anyone to do so) and now, 4 years later, I only wax it once a month. When I see a “lonely” hair, I just use tweezers.

Yukie217, Waxing the upper lip will definitely make the hair come back thicker and darker too. It might not happen straight away, but the more you remove the hair, the worse it will get. In fact, waxing or tweezing hair anywhere on the face, apart from the eyebrows, will stimulate growth because it is influenced strongly by hormones. @Yukie217 I would not reccommend it, it may make the problem worse, as she is probably going through puberty, and hormones can be all over the show during this time. Bleach it if it is not too thick, or opt for IPL, but again, wait until hormones settle down.
@Yukie217 Hair growth is hormone related. When doing IPL and other forms of long term hair reduction such as electrolysis, it is recommended not to tweeze or wax the hairs, due to the fact that the hair reconnects to the blood supply, and can un-do any progresss made through the treatment
Waxing can sometimes cause the vellus hairs (generally blonde hairs that are all over your body) to connect to the blood supply, the follicle moves deeper down and the hair can become thicker and darker. It does not happen to everyone, but it is a possibility.
It is safe cause I got it done when I was 14 and didn’t really hurt me and it grows back lighter
i would never ever would remove any hair on my body for such a pain. for what? i dont want to deaden my nerves just to go with a certrain style which maybe last for 10years

@Diriguojam im 14 and i got my upper lip waxed the other day it doesnt grow back thicker eventually the hair will disappear when your older so best to start early thats what the woman told me at the salon

It hurts a lot, I don’t use that stuff exactly I use Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit by Sally Hanser which is a lot easier it hurts when you pull it but the it feels better when you had this stuff that comes with it. I don’t know if it grows back thicker though.
