Beauty Lab: Depotting Mac Eye Shadows
*please watch in high quality whenever available* I realize that this is nothing new, but I was showing ‘WhatsCooknGoodLookn’ how I depot my shadows and she wanted to record it for reference

Tools that I use: Cuticle nippers Nail glue Screw Driver Pliers Circle magnets Lighter Flat iron Wax paper PS I realize that some Mac stores do not accept the pots w/o the pans but not ALL have that policy so I suggest calling yours first. Yeah, it’s a MAC palette I’ll be using. I picked up some magnets with the adhesive on the back, but they weren’t the circular one you have. I’m just going to cut them into circles.
Everywhere I checked around here was sold out of MAC palettes except the Soho location in NYC. (I was visitng a friend this weekend). All the other NYC were all out too!
ghd is a brand of flat iron. The adhesive magnets are more convenient but they seem to be thicker. The kind I use are by magna visual magnetic the number is FI-127 3/4-in circles. Are you using a Mac palette? Let me know if you can’t get then and I can add that to the hair stuff next time around.

I’ll have to check the craft store. I like the ones you use here, but maybe something with a sticky back already would be best. I got one palette cause that was all they had left! But I’m going to get another one this weekend in NYC.

I ordered the magnets through Staples, they are thin round ones. You can also get a sheet of magnetic “paper” at the craft store and cut circles. I’ll see if I still have a new package. My flat iron (Chi) has off and on that’s it so its ON LOL. If I use a gHd I use the highest setting.

I came back and watched this cause I realy need to do this. My MAC shadows fall out of this basket I have them in, and onto the floor everyday. I’m going to break one soon I know it.
What kind of magnets are they? And how do they fit on the bottom without causing any bulk or causing the shadow to stick up higher in the palette..??
What setting do you put the hot iron on?

I got a little paranoid after watching his vid so I called around
I actually talk about my nails in my nail care vid (posting as soon as I can fix the sound). For the most part I can do everything. I type al day long, I wear contacts & haven’t poked my eyes out I can button everything, do jewelry clasps, etc. But these are my nails with an overlay not just tips so that makes a difference since I don’t notice how long they get as they grow naturally. Hope that makes sense.

I have seen his video, thanks, but what he says does not apply to ALL Mac stores. I have 2 in my area that still don’t care. I suggest checking with each individual store since they are all different.
I don’t know if you have seen Enkores video but he said that MAC stores are no longer accepting pots without the silver pan in it (because too many people were depotting hundreds of eyeshadows) so he shows a website in the video where you can buy the pans to put back in.
